Finally, I watched "Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon" 2nd season included all specials and ONAs. Well, I liked this franchise. I watched the first season a long time ago but still remember the fun I enjoyed. The first season was the first "slice of life" I especially watched. I didn't really like this genre before because it seemed too bored. I used to like detective, action, psychological, fantasy, etc. In other words, I was interested any anime where was a good plot or any dynamic. But one day, I thought that I needed something for relaxation, and I remembered that there is a "Slice of life" which pertains to this. From that moment, I started my journey of "Slice of life," and the more I watched this, the more I understood that besides a plot, there are a lot of other things such as well-developed characters, a deep world, environment, jokes, drama, cute things, and so on. It even doesn't matter there are all of these things or there aren't. The atmosphere is more important here. Also, I like that, which is this genre very flexible. Eventually, this genre has become one of my favorites, and I still watch this.
Talking about this anime, of course, it has made for having pleasure. The plot goes around a QA engineer Kobayashi. She works in an office and celebrates the end of the working day every evening. One the same evening, she discovered wounded dragon Tooru and saved her. Being drunk this evening, Kobayashi suggested Tooru live together. Tooru accepted this suggestion and decided to become her maid. So, they start to live together. It creates a lot of fun and many funny situations of their friendship. Further, other characters join them who fill their life.
I liked this unhurried narrates without some drama and global problems. It was so funny to observe their everyday life and the funny moments which created other characters. Also, I appreciated hints of "shoujo-ai" because I'm a connoisseur of this genre, haha. Anyway, these hints were moderate without overdoing them. The only thing which annoyed me (especially in the second season) - was too big breasts. I think creators have some genetic trauma about it. They explained that dragons keep the flame in their breasts, lol.
In general, I think this anime is about the value of friendships and relationships between people. It doesn't narrate any philosophical themes (but there were moments when they tried.) It's a simple cute story for relaxation. When you watch this, it's like you are staying at a museum and admiring pictures. Fortunately, there's what you will admire, that is good graphics (especially in the second season) and also good sound and music.
P.s. Tooru is top waifu. Kanna and Riko are cuties.
